DON’T GIVE UP!

Today, I want to identify with those who started year 2007 with great expectations having asked and believed God for specific miracles such as healing, befitting work, financial empowerment, settlement of debts, deliverance from poverty, freedom from childlessness, independence from lack of meaningful progress, repair of broken homes/marriages etc.  I perceive that only a few or none of their requests have been granted to date and they are now disgruntled.  Some of them even doubt the usefulness of God these days and they imagine that it might be more beneficial to seek an ‘alternative’ to God.  If you are in this position, please pause a little bit and let us consider the following facts for support.

1.  There is no credible alternative to God.  Hannah made this explicit in her prayer found in 1 Samuel 2:2.  In it she said:

‘’No one is holy like the Lord, for there is none beside you, nor is there any rock like our God’’.

We can see from this passage that there is no credible alternative to God.  He is the final authority in all situations and with him, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37).

2.  There is nothing unusual about your current experience(s).   Remember that Jesus Christ never promised us a life devoid of ups and downs ab-initio and he made it very clear in John 16:33 that:

‘’… In the world you will have tribulation; …

Above indicates very clearly that tribulation and by extension, hardship, uncertainty, frustration, dashed hopes etc are a major part of this world which we cannot brush aside.

3.  God is aware of your plight and he is committed to giving you respite.  King David gave credence to this statement in Psalm 104:14. He said:

‘’For he (i.e. God) knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust’’.

God knows everything about us.  He knows that we are frail and he is prepared to do everything possible to make our lives tolerable.  He is also firmly committed to listening to us and in taking appropriate steps towards assisting us.  No wonder he proclaimed through Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 65:24) that:

‘’It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear’’.

Because of the proclamation above, many people have asked why it does appear as if God is slow in fulfilling his promises. Well, I don’t personally think he is slow; rather, I believe he is only being cautious because he is a perfectionist (Ecclesiastes 3:14).  Apostle Peter confirmed this in 2 Peter 3:9 thus:

‘’The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance’’.

We can conclude from above that slackness is not an attribute of God.  He is committed to helping us however, patience is very essential (Matthew 10:22).

Friend, as you fearlessly march towards 2008, please keep God abreast of all your concerns in line with the suggestion of Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 62:6&7) which says:

‘’…You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent.  And give him no rest till he establishes… ’’.

Therefore, please don’t give up! Keep on talking to God; keep on trusting him too and he will make you beautiful in his own time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Merry Christmas in advance.  God bless you.

Jesus is Lord!

JESUS HAS OPENED THE DOOR!

In Revelation 3:8, Jesus Christ said: ‘’…Behold I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it…‘’.

This is a remarkable pronouncement that is extremely relevant to us in this dispensation.  It is obviously uplifting because it assures us of absolute freedom from the clutches of the Devil and inexhaustible opportunities.

Before moving any further, please let us pay a close attention to the word door so that we can understand the import of this write up better.  A door has been described as ‘’a solid sheet (of wood, metal, glass etc) hung so that it permits access through or closes up an entrance‘’.  And if it is of a good quality, it will prevent intrusion, guarantee security, confidentiality and dignity.  However, it could also be an impediment if it is closed for too long because it will effectively shut out access to food, water, light, wholesome air, assistance, companionship etc.  In a situation like this, death cannot be far fetched.  But, the situation is bound to change the moment this door is re-opened.

Figuratively speaking, any situation that limits you or that makes your life continually tough can be likened to a state of closed door.  Such situations include ill health, barrenness of diverse kinds, joblessness, poverty, stagnation or regression in life, lack of meaningful assistance, debt, sin etc.  If any of these is worrying you at the moment then, be of good cheer because right now, Jesus Christ is saying ‘’…Behold I have set before you an open door (out of the situation), and no one can shut it…‘’.

The benefits of accessing the aforementioned door are many but we shall consider a few of them today because of time and space constraints.

1.  Healing.  One of the major functions that Jesus Christ performed on earth was to heal different aspects of our lives ranging from our minds and souls, to our bodies and even to our material needs (Luke 4:18).  Healing from him is still readily available today if only we can boldly access the open door that he set before us.    Jesus is not a respecter of persons and whatever he has done for others in the past; he can still do for you this time around.  Perhaps some aspects of your life or the life of somebody close to you needs healing please, access this open door today. Ask Jesus Christ to heal them and guess what? He will since he is hugely primed to do so (Act 10:38).

2.  Deliverance from barrenness.  Barrenness can manifest in diverse ways.  For example, inability to have children is a good example.  Others include poverty of ideas, stagnation or regression in life etc.  Please allow me to focus on the first category i.e. inability to have children today.  It is a very restrictive and painful experience.  It becomes more agonizing if one comes from parts of the world where failure to have children is a big issue.   In such places, life is deliberately made difficult for those affected.  To the sisters and brothers desiring to have their own children, I bring good tidings to you! And that is, today, Jesus has set before you an open door, and no one can shut it.  And by the grace of God, this door will lead you to having your own children in the name of Jesus.  Please remember that it is your inalienable right to have children (Psalm 127:3) and as far as God is concerned, barrenness and miscarriage has ceased to be a part of your life (Exodus 23:26).  So cheer up!

3.  Deliverance from sin.  Sin is a major phenomenon which we unfortunately inherited from Adam and Eve.  No one is free from it (1 John 1:8) and because of sin, it is difficult for us to escape intricate life situations which regrettably, may lead to needless death if care is not taken (Romans 6:23).  We should be happy though since Jesus has set before us an open door which no one can shut.  And accessing this door by confessing our sins and turning away from them will help us in no small way in getting rid of them (1 John 1:9).  In addition, God is also willing to deliver us from the effects of our past sins.  Prophet Hosea made allusion to this fact in Hosea 6:1 when he said: ‘’ Come, and let us return to the Lord; for he has torn, but he will heal us, he has stricken, but he will bind us up’’.  If you are yet to confess and forsake your sins and if you are yet to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior please pause a little bit and do so straight away.  You may even wish to rededicate your life to Christ if you feel a compelling need to do so.  Definitely, you stand to gain a lot from this exercise.

Friend, we have seen some of the benefits that follow the open door Jesus Christ is referring to.  As an individual, what do you hope to achieve by accessing this open door? Then why don’t you go ahead and convey it (or them) to Jesus Christ in prayer today? Things will only get better for you and not worse.  It is my fervent prayer that your expectation in life will never be cut off in Jesus name.  Amen.

Jesus is Lord!

WHEN JESUS VISITS!

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus Christ said: ‘’Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and open the door, I will come in to him… ‘’

This is a very comforting remark demonstrating the readiness of Jesus Christ to visit us at all times and this has nothing to do with our status in life or our level of education, finance, spirituality etc.  It is also on record that whenever he visits, he dishes out great benefits. No wonder King David made allusion to this fact in Psalm 68:19 by saying: ‘’Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits’’.

Today, we shall consider a few of the many benefits that can be obtained sequel to a visit from Jesus.  They include:

1.  Healing.  This is a major benefit and it is very close to Jesus Christ’s heart.  Apostle Peter made this explicit in Act 10:38 that Jesus Christ went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.  In Matthew 8:14 for example, Jesus visited Peter and met his mother in-law lying sick with a fever.  Without wasting time, he touched her and she became well instantaneously.

From the story above, we can safely deduce that a visit from Jesus Christ is capable of facilitating prompt healing.  Friend, are you sick in any part of your body or in any aspect of your life? If yes, then rejoice exceedingly because healing is on the way.  Why don’t you in that case ask Jesus Christ to visit you today? He will and your state of health will never remain the same again.  However, you must be prepared to believe without fail that he can heal you (Mark 9:23).

2.  Deliverance from shame.  In John 2:1-11, Jesus Christ and his disciples were invited to a wedding party and they dignified the couple with a visit.  Soon, the organizers ran out of wine and shame was looming.  This was however averted when Jesus Christ intervened by making available a substantial quantity of choice wine which he miraculously concocted from water.  If not for Jesus Christ’s visit, the couple would have had to endure indescribable shame forever.

Is anything constituting shame in your life lately? If your answer is in the affirmative then, I bring good tidings to you.  Why don’t you initiate a visit from Jesus Christ today and before long you will be free from it.

3.  Change of reputation.  This is another important benefit that can be gotten following a visit from Jesus Christ.

Matthew was a tax collector and therefore a great sinner.  His reputation was nothing to write home about and no self respecting person would have anything cogent to do with him.  But one day Jesus Christ visited the tax office, saw Matthew and asked him to join his ministry and from that day on, he became one of Jesus Christ’s disciples (Matthew 9:9).  That is, as a result of that visit, Matthew’s reputation changed from that of a despised crook to that of a celebrated disciple of Jesus Christ.

Do you have the notorious reputation of being a murderer, drug addict, an alcoholic, a liar, sex offender, sex worker, debtor, etc? Or are you currently living with any other situation that has damaged your reputation perhaps irreparably? And are you interested in turning things around? If yes then do the right thing right now! Initiate a visit from Jesus Christ and before long, the rest will become history.

4.  Salvation.  This is the most important outcome of a visit from Jesus Christ.  With it, you can walk and work closely with him.  You will also qualify to be a member of his unique kingdom and then have the grace to enjoy all the good things of life (Luke 12:31).  As if these are not enough, when you die you will have the privilege of being transmuted to live with him permanently in heaven; a place where death, lack, pain, sorrow etc are unknown (Revelation 21:4).

In Luke 19:1-10, Zacchaeus who was a tax collector and a detested sinner like Matthew was visited by Jesus Christ in spite of intense protestation from the people in that neighborhood.  And from that visit, Zacchaeus received salvation and in addition, all the benefits associated with it.

Friend, I believe you’ll agree with me that the benefits of encouraging a visit from Jesus Christ are priceless.  You can also have them if you wish but you must do the right thing first and that is, you must be born again if you haven’t to date.  How can you achieve this you may wish to ask? Well by simply confessing your sins and inviting Jesus Christ to take over your life as your personal Lord and savior.  And perhaps you have done so previously I say well done.  Now without any delay courageously invite him to visit and reward you with healing as well as deliverance from shame, sorrow, unpleasant reputation, deprivation, anxiety, depression, pain, sorrow, etc as the case may be.  He will accede to your request and your life will never remain the same again.  So shall it be for you in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Jesus is Lord!

MY TESTIMONY!

I want to share a testimony with you today.  And I am doing this to the glory of God and in fulfilment of a pledge that I made to him in 1992.  My wife and I got married in October 1991 and since then, we couldn’t have a baby.  Of course, we consulted many doctors but none of them could help us.  Therefore, we made up our minds to wait on the Lord whom we know has the ultimate power to turn the situation around.  The period of waiting was long, arduous and to a large extent punishing.  In the process, we experienced several frustrating moments including societal isolation which is a common phenomenon in our culture.  Some people derided us openly and some even questioned the worth of our faith in the Lord.  We were definitely rattled but not broken because God assured us time and again that it is our right to have children (Psalm 127:3).  He also told us that He would grant our request at the most auspicious time when His name would be glorified globally and at no cost to us and we believed him.  I am happy to inform you that he fulfilled this promise on the 23rd of July 2007.   He gave us a baby boy whose names are Enioluwa (God’s own person) Oluwagbohunmi (God heard my voice) Samuel Adegbulu and His name was indeed glorified globally.    Praise the name of the Lord.  Hallelujah!  Amen.

A morale boosting article for you!

I read the article below recently and I find it appropriate to reproduce it here to boost the morale of those who are trusting God for eye-catching miracles.  If you are one of them, I have good news for you!  Your victory is around the corner.  As a matter of fact, God is willing to accede to your request but you must be prepared to trust him completely and to show a high level of patience.  Happy reading!

Title:-Don’t give up!

Bible reference: – 2 Kings 4:8-37

The Bible speaks of a ‘great woman’ who lived in Shunem. God gave her a son when she couldn’t have one. Then suddenly in his twenties he dies. So she picks him up, puts him on a horse and carries him back to Elisha, whom God had used to announce his birth in the first place. Imagine what her neighbours must have thought as she passed by. ‘It’s over, bury him!’ But not her. She refused to stop and get the opinions of faithless people, or discuss her situation with those who were unqualified to help…This woman believed that if God started it, he could finish it. If he made it, he could fix it. And how does her story end? Elisha stretches his body out on top of the dead boy’s body and his corpse gets warm. Now that’s good, but this lad needs more than just warmth; he needs new life. So Elisha stretches out on top of him again. This time the boy sneezes seven times and comes to life. What’s the lesson here for you? No matter how bad things look stay on top of the situation! Keep believing God. Walk the floor and pray all night if you have to, but don’t give up. Keep standing on the Word. Your dream may not be fully alive yet, but it’s getting warm. Things are improving. God is moving. Your answer is on the way; don’t give up until it arrives!

My final thoughts!

There are many things that I would have loved to pass across to those who are trusting God for their own children and/or other issues of value to them but I cannot at the moment because of time and space constraints.  However, I will base my final thoughts on Habakkuk 2:3.  It reads:

‘’For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.  Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry’’.

Friend, I urge you to continue trusting God irrespective of what you may be going through at the moment.  He is willing and able to meet you at the deepest point of your needs but in his own time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).   Please keep trusting him and be rest assured that you will never be put to shame in Jesus name (Joel 2:26). Amen.

**Please feel free to forward this mail to those who are trusting God for stunning miracles.  Remember that he gave us and many people out there victory over our individual concerns therefore; I am positive that he will give them victory too in Jesus name.  Please encourage them!

Jesus is Lord!

OF GOD, FEAR AND TRUST

In Psalm 56:3-4, King David referring to God said ‘’when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you…I trust you, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

King David was a very powerful and highly successful King of Israel.  He was outstanding in many ways and God loved him dearly.  And like other people, he too encountered numerous fearful moments in his life.  It is however not on record that he resigned to fate instead, he trusted God solidly and in the end he overcame all his fears.

Looking at the happenings in our world today, nobody can fault us if we construe that just as King David and the people of his time were afraid of one thing or the other, so are we at the present.  Everyday we see frightening evidences of terrorism cum insecurity, wars and threats of wars, hurricanes, earthquakes, destructive floods, wild fires, economic failure with its attendant negative effects like job losses, excruciating poverty, family disruption, sicknesses and infirmities, unjustifiable deaths etc.  All these and more have instilled colossal fear in the minds of many people.  What then is the way out? Absolute trust in God!

Absolute trust in God in fearful situations has many benefits and we shall consider some of them in this write up.  For example it guarantees:

1.  Safety.  We shall make allusion to Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego to defend this point.  The book of Daniel tells us that they were exceptionally talented young Jews in King Nebuchadnezzar’s service.  Even though they were very close to the King, they still trusted God completely.  However, they parted ways with him because he wanted them to worship his image of gold-something the young lads found extremely repulsive.  Instead of succumbing to the King’s threats of being thrown into a blazing furnace, they stuck to their guns and trusted God to keep them safe (Daniel 3:16-18).  They were later thrown into the furnace but guess what!  Nothing untoward happened to them.  This supports Proverbs 29:25 which says: ‘’The fear of man brings a snare.  But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe’’.  If you desire absolute safety in this era of extreme insecurity then, put your trust in God and he will not disappoint you in Jesus name.  Amen.

2.  Deliverance.  1 Samuel Chapter 1 encapsulates how Hannah a barren woman was harassed untiringly by her husband’s junior wife Peninnah.  But despite the grave humiliation she faced, she trusted God completely and he delivered her from shame and sorrow by giving her a choice son called Samuel.  Perhaps you want God to do something stunning for you but a positive response appears out of reach and now you are afraid then, I bring good tidings to you!  Help is on the way; get ready for it.  Seek the face of God today, trust him absolutely too and he will deliver you from all your fears (Psalm 34:4).  Hannah trusted God and he delivered her from childlessness and its associated shame and sorrow.

3.  Prosperity.  In Genesis Chapter 12, God told Abraham, a very old man, to relocate to a new locality and he obeyed because he trusted God completely.  And for his act of obedience, God prospered him.  God gave him children (when it was entirely impracticable for him and his wife to have any child on account of old age) immense riches, honor, glory and a very good life.  God also gave him the privilege of dying peacefully and of being given a decent burial.  This example confirmed what is written in Proverbs 28: 25b i.e.: ‘’…But he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered’’.  If you want to prosper in this age and time that opportunities are fast shrinking then, put your trust in God and you will laugh last in Jesus name.  Amen.

Friend, we have established once again that it is beneficial to trust God.  Perhaps you are yet to trust him for solutions to issues that are affecting your life negatively then, the time to do so have come and it is now!  But if you have been praying about the issues for awhile and it seems respite is not in sight, do not worry and do not give up.  God will definitely respond in his own time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Finally through out this month, the remaining part of this year and for the rest of your life, I implore you to ‘’be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them (i.e. people or difficult situations) for the Lord your God, he is the one who goes with you, he will not leave you nor forsake you’’ (Deuteronomy 31:6).  So shall it be in Jesus name.  Amen.

Jesus is Lord!

THE NAME OF JESUS!

I discussed the topic ‘’The name of Jesus’’ with one of my friends sometime ago and I gained a lot it.  And my experience from the exercise later made me to search the bible more broadly for instances where the name of Jesus was evoked with stunning results.  I am elated to share some of my findings with you today.

I discovered that the name of Jesus is one of the most outstanding heritages of all Christians and it is our authority in prayer (John 16:23-24).  It is incredibly powerful and it towers above all other names in heaven and on earth.  It is also a very lethal weapon that can be deployed rapidly against the forces of Satan by serious minded Christians (Philippians 2:9-11). Furthermore, the name of Jesus guarantees absolute safety (Proverb 18:10) and salvation through it is incontestable (Acts 4:12).

The early Apostles used the name of Jesus and got spectacular results.  For example they:

1.  Became extraordinarily bold.  Apostle Peter for instance was a very timid man.  He was so timid that he denied Jesus Christ three times shortly before He was crucified (John 18:15-18, 25-27).  This same Peter later preached the gospel with unusual boldness and fervor in the name of Jesus.  It is worth mentioning here that his and John’s boldness was so palpable that the people in authority who by the way loathed them, took notice of them (Acts 4:13).  The name of Jesus sure gives enormous boldness.

2.  Healed the sick.  In Acts 3:1-10, Peter and John went to pray in the temple and at its gate called beautiful; they saw a man lamed from birth.  The man asked them for alms as he did to other people but they did not yield to his demand.  Instead, Peter looked at him straight in the eyes and said ‘’Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you.  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk’’ and it did immediately.  There is healing in the name of Jesus.

3.  Cast out demons.  In Acts 16:16-18, Paul and Silas encountered a slave girl who was possessed with the spirit of divination (prediction). She followed them everywhere for many days howling irritatingly after them that they were servants of God who proclaimed the way of salvation.  At a point, Paul got very annoyed and said to the spirit controlling her ‘’I command you in the name of Jesus, come out of her’’ and he did at once.  The name of Jesus is very effective in casting out demons and other satanic agents.

You may at this point wish to ask how the Apostles acquired the right to perform miracles in the name of Jesus in the first instance.  The answer is very obvious; Jesus Christ himself gave it to them.  In John 14:12-14, he said ‘’I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.  He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the father.  And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the son may bring glory to the father.  You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it’’.

This proclamation is applicable to us too because in Mark 13:37, Jesus Christ said ‘’…what I say to you (i.e. the Apostles), I say to all’’.  I am therefore not surprised seeing Christians worldwide using the name of Jesus to perform dazzling miracles.  If the name can work for them, it will definitely work for you too.  However, you must do the right thing first.  You must accept Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Lord and Savior if you haven’t previously.  That is, you must be born again.  It is after concluding this harmless but crucial task that you can command all problems afflicting your life to disappear in the name of Jesus and they will obey you unquestionably.  You will even have the ability to cast out demons, speak with new tongues, lay hands on the sick and heal them etc (Mark 16:15-18).  Imagine how hugely valuable you can become to yourself and to this generation to the glory of God.

Finally, let me assure you that you don’t need any special anointing or training before using the name of Jesus.  All you need is boldness.  Therefore, go out boldly this month and expunge all issues making your life arduous in the name of Jesus.  Do not forget to command your needs into existence using the same name too.  I am certain that you will succeed by the special grace of God.  Amen.

*Special thanks to my friend, Pastor David Afolabi Adesina of the Faith Palace Christian Centre, Luton.  UK.

HERE AM I SEND ME

Prophet Isaiah was a great Prophet who exercised the functions of his office during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah all Kings of Judah.  His words were authoritative because they were uttered in the name of the Lord.  One day, as he was offering sacrifices in the temple, God revealed his glory and holiness to him.  He also made his intention about sending somebody to his people (i.e. the Israelites who had by then forsaken him in spite of the numerous great things he did for them) known to him.  Since Isaiah’s dominant task was to convey messages from God to men, he did not find it difficult to make himself available saying: ‘’Here am I send me’’ (Isaiah 6:8).

‘’Here am I send me’’ is a very deep statement and we shall concentrate on it today.  When uttered by a person, it conveys his or her willingness to be used by another person or group of people to achieve a specific purpose.  A lot of people that uttered or implied it genuinely at one time or the other are very selfless and they carried out the tasks they set out to accomplish with exceptional dedication; harm to their lives not withstanding.  In this group are people like Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Mao Zedong, Martin Luther King Junior, Winston Churchill, Fidel Castro, etc.  All of them served and improved the lives of their people remarkably.

However, it is not all the people that utter this statement that are capable of completing the task(s) they set out to achieve.  This brings us to considering the possible ways by which people can respond to it using biblical examples as our guide.

1.  They may offer themselves to be sent ab initio but refuse to carry out the task(s) given to them.  Prophet Jonah stands out in this group.  To start with, he must have said or implied the statement ’’Here am I send me’’ to God at some point in his life for him to have been considered to become a prophet in the first instance.  In Jonah Chapter 1 God commanded him to ‘’ARISE and GO’’ to Nineveh on an errand for him but he refused to perform this task.  Instead of going to Nineveh in the North East, he headed for Tarshish in the West. The end result of his act of disobedience was that he ended up being swallowed by a fish for three days and three nights.  He would have lost his life if not for the kindness of God.  Perhaps you once volunteered to use your resources, time, skills, intellect, position etc to honor God but somehow you have reneged on your promise; please have a complete change of mind because the end result is fraught with danger.

2.  They may offer themselves to be sent, properly commence the task(s) given to them but end up poorly.  Gehazi is a very good example here.  He was a very devoted and diligent aide of Prophet Elisha.  And because of his loyalty to his boss, we can conveniently construe that he must have uttered or implied the statement ‘’Here am I send me’’ to his boss at some point.  He carried out the tasks given to him with exemplary zeal but abandoned the path of righteousness with the passage of time.  How? In 2 Kings Chapter 5, a distinguished commander of the Syrian army called Naaman came to Israel to consult Elisha in respect of his chronic leprosy which defied the best treatments available in Syria.  As expected, Naaman got his healing and in appreciation; he offered gifts to the prophet who rejected them.  Gehazi however was not happy with his boss’ action and he went behind to collect the gifts.  The aftermath of his action was that he became a leper himself.  This shows clearly that greed does not pay and that once a person is committed to a good course, it is not rewarding to look back (Luke 9:62).  Gehazi commenced the tasks given to him properly but ended up in disaster.  May you not end your life in disaster in Jesus name.  Amen.

3.  They may offer themselves to be sent, properly commence and conclude the tasks given to them.  Apostle Paul is a good example here. In Acts Chapter 9, he went to Damascus to persecute Christians until he was struck down from heaven.  Not knowing what he should do next he said: ‘’Lord, what do you want me to do?’’(Verse 6).  Above statement depicts a willingness to be sent and Jesus gave him the unambiguous task of taking the gospel to the Gentiles, Kings, and the children of Israel (verse 15) and he commenced and concluded it brilliantly and he was rewarded adequately (2 Timothy 4:7-8). It is vivid that the history of Christianity cannot be full without giving due consideration and prominence to Apostle Paul’s huge contributions.

Friend, do you have specific talents, skills, resource(s), education, time, position etc that can be used to enhance the work of God and are you willing to use them without wavering? If your answer is yes then, go on right now and say ’’Here am I send me’’ to God and be ready to work very hard in exchange for great rewards.  As a matter of fact, Jesus Christ promised us a hundred fold reward in terms of houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, lands etc in this world and in the age to come, eternal life (Mark 10: 28-32).  I personally cannot trade this mouth watering offer for anything on earth.  What about you? May the good Lord give you a willing heart and the strength to work for him and may your reward be full in Jesus name.  Amen.

Jesus is Lord!
