Acts 27:1-2-Lessons from the Journey through Life (2)

  • The journey through life is often very difficult

Referring to a part of their journey, Apostle Paul, said:  ”When we had sailed slowly many days, and arrived with difficulty off Cnidus, the wind not permitting us to proceed, we sailed under the shelter of Crete off Salmone” (Acts 27:7).

It is obvious from the passage above, that their journey was not smooth sailing in the least; it was plainly difficult!  But most life journeys are like theirs i.e., very difficult and often fraught with obstacles, pain, sorrow, anger, deprivation, confusion, doubt and dashed hopes among several others. Perhaps your journey through life is becoming rather difficult nowadays; please keep your calm for such is common.  As a matter of fact, Jesus forewarned us in John 16:33, that such would be our lot.  In it, He said:

”These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you willhave tribulation (or difficulty, trial trouble, problem, hardship, misfortune, misery) but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”.

Jesus is aware of your present, maybe rather difficult journey in life, and He has already done something about it.  It is my firm belief therefore; that it will soon become history and your joy will be full in Jesus name.  Amen.
