- Victory will surely come one day
Jephthah led the battle against the Amorites without overlooking his personal limitations. He knew that he couldn’t win it on his own and so, he trusted God to help him out in exchange for a vow, which he later defrayed. In the same vein, you we must always acknowledge your limitations while fighting your battles. It is also very helpful to accept that these battles, are strictly not yours but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15) and that you can do very little about them on your own (John 15:5). Above all, you must rely on Him absolutely to deliver you at the end of the day (Proverbs 21:31).
Please be reminded that victory may not come as quickly or as cheaply as you might have expected. As a matter of fact, it may take some frustratingly long time to come and sometimes, at a huge cost to you. That is where strong mindedness and patience comes in. You must be prepared to give God sufficient space and time to do His stuffs, while you keep on believing Him for victory and He will not put us to shame (Romans 10:11) in Jesus name. Amen.
