Luke 8:22-Go Over to the Other Side (6)

  • Salvation

Salvation is the chief of all the benefits accruable from consenting to the advice, ‘Go Over to the Other Side’, where Jesus Christ is in charge.  Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10) was a chief tax collector hence, a big time sinner.  One day, he learnt that Jesus would pass through Jericho and he sought to see Him.  However, the task of doing so was rather too huge for him owing to his short stature.  So, he helped himself by climbing up into a sycamore tree.  As Jesus was passing by, He looked up, saw Zacchaeus, and commanded him to come down.  Immediately, he complied and received Him joyfully. It was at this point, that some people rose up against him, and accused Jesus Christ of hobnobbing with a sinner.  But trust Him, He ignored their accusations, stayed in Zacchaeus’ house and gave him salvation, which is the passport to the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

You too need salvation i.e., you need to become born again, to attain the kingdom of God and Jesus is ready to help you out, if you ‘Go Over to the Other Side’, where He reigns.

OK, how can I achieve this you may wish to ask? Well, very simple!  First, confess your sins to Jesus Christ, forsake them, and genuinely ask Him to forgive you.  After that, invite Him to come into your life and take over as your personal Lord and Saviour.  He will oblige and save you.  If you have taken this giant step before, I say well done! But if you haven’t, please do so right away because, tomorrow may be too late.  It is after you might have settled all issues concerning your salvation, that you can become a member of the kingdom of God and reap exceptional benefits such as Peace, Protection, Provision, Promotion and Salvation, among others.  May you never lose out on any of them and may your joy be full now and forever in Jesus name.  Amen.
