Question and Answer Series (Part 3)

In February 2006 we commenced a Question and Answer Series through this medium and in April 2006 we considered part two (2) of it.  Today, I am delighted to present the third part to you believing that you will find it helpful in Jesus name.  The Questions and Answers are as follows:

 1.  Is God the maker of the world?

Yes he is!  This we can defend by looking at issues from the basics.  To begin with, it is a known fact nothing extraordinary occurs by accident and that everything in existence has a maker and a beginning.  Therefore, our world cannot be an exception.  It is an extraordinary entity and its intricate nature alone is enough to convince all skeptics that it did not come into existence by accident.  It was carefully thought out and conscientiously put together by an ingenious creator.  Great thinkers of old like Plato and Aristotle as well as credible scholars, outstanding leaders (Socio-Political, Economic, Spiritual et. al) and all serious minded people globally are united in their belief that this creator is God.   They cannot all be wrong or stupid!  Therefore nobody can blame us if we uphold their conviction.  Lastly, the final authority on all issues is the Holy Bible and it confirms that God is the maker of the world (Genesis 1:1).

2.  Is He powerful?

Yes He is and there are many cases in point that we can cite to prove it.  For example, He used His breathtaking power to create the Heaven and Earth (Genesis 1:1), to destroy the Earth (Genesis Chapter 7), to divide the red sea into two through Moses (Exodus 14:21-22), to save Daniel from the den of Lions (Daniel 6:10-19), to deliver Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego from the burning fiery furnace (Daniel 3:19-25), to set Paul and Silas free from the prison (Acts 16:16-26) etc.  He has the exclusive power to kill and to make alive (Deuteronomy 32:39) and the final say concerning all issues belongs to him (Lamentations 3:37).  It is only a uniquely powerful person that can boast of this type of extraordinary credentials.

Let me quickly interject at this point that God has many power instruments that makes Him astonishingly powerful and one of them is His word (Hebrews 4:12).  He wants us to be powerful too hence He gave us the bible which contains His word.  Great Apostles like Paul, Peter and John as well as highly revered men and women of God of this era like Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Kenneth Haggins, Oral Roberts, Benny Hinn, T.D Jakes, Paul Yonggi Cho, Benson Idahosa, Rebecca Brown, Paula White, Joyce Meyer, etc used and are still using the word of God in the name of Jesus to raise the dead, to heal the sick, to set the captives free, to restore sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, speech to the dumb etc.  Also, a huge number of individuals across the globe have severally attested to the efficacy of the word of God in their lives.

Friend, from all above and more outside the scope of this write up, it is evident that God is the maker of the world and that He is absolutely powerful.  Finally, we know that one of His most effective power instruments is His word.  If you want to obtain freedom from satanic oppression, depression, regression, repression, suppression, retrogression etc then, you must make the bible your inseparable companion.  You must study it voraciously (a good daily devotional and other instructional materials such as Christian books, magazines, tapes, CDs, DVDs etc will be very useful here), ruminate over it, act it and declare it unambiguously against any nagging situation that is making it difficult for your life to flourish.  The good news is that power will change hands in your favor and outstanding success will come your way (Joshua 1:8).  So shall it be in Jesus name Amen.

Jesus is Lord!

Approach the Good Shepherd

Psalm 23 is a very popular biblical passage which many of us took to, early in life. We memorized it in our various Sunday or/and Primary Schools and in some cases, the ability to recite it was used to gauge our knowledge of the bible. Its first verse says: ”The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want”.

As you can see, the verse elucidates one of the main functions of a Shepherd i.e., providing the needs of the sheep in his care. He gives them food to eat and water to drink. He also keeps them out of harm’s way.

All religious leaders are Shepherds in their own rights since they guide or herd groups of people. There are a lot of them all over the world, presiding over congregations of various sizes; mini and mega. And unlike their counterparts that look after animals, they don’t rear their ‘sheep’ for food or for any pecuniary gains. In actual fact, they teach and direct them in the ways of the Lord and guide them towards heaven. They are also expected, as much as possible, to help their needy ‘sheep’ with their material needs.

Jesus Christ is ‘the good Shepherds’ (John 10:14) and we are His sheep. It is on record that He loves us so much, that He died for us (John 10:11, 17) and He wants us to be with Him forever (John 14:2-4). Up till now, He is doing everything possible from heaven, to make us happy, comfortable and safe.

So what is He doing for us you may wish to ask? Well, they include the following among others:

1. He defends us

One of the foremost things that Jesus does for us is to defend us from our accusers. Please remember the story of the adulterous woman (John 8:1-11). She was caught, red handed by a mob while committing adultery and she was brought to Jesus Christ for adjudication. Yes, we know that their intention was to test Him but a word from Him condemning her, would have been enough to put her to death immediately. But being the good Shepherd, Jesus defended her robustly and the crowd had no choice than to disperse; horrified and humiliated I believe, without touching her. And at the end of the day, He did not condemn her either. Guess what? He is actively defending us in the presence of God up till now (1 John 2:1). Aren’t we lucky? Friend, whatever sins you might have committed in the past, does not matter anymore. All you have to do right now is to confess and forsake them and the good Shepherd, Jesus, will forgive and defend you vigorously to the end.

2. He removes our shame

The good Shepherd is also adept at removing our shame. Please recall the wedding in Cana of Galilee (John 2:1-11), which was attended by Jesus, His disciples and His mother among others. Soon, the celebrants ran out of wine and everlasting shame was looming ahead but Jesus, the good shepherd, was on hand to bail them out by removing their shame. So what did He do? Well, He simply turned ordinary water into wine of the finest caliber which was subsequently served to the guests at the party. My dear friend, is there anything constituting shame in your life at present? Or better put, is there any issue that you dare not discuss with anyone because of the shame that it carries? If your answer is yes, then you need to approach this same Jesus, the good shepherd, today and He will remove it completely (John 8:36) to the glory of God and to the shame of the Devil. Amen.

3. He delivers us from evil

The good Shepherd is dexterous at delivering us from evil as well. Please bear in mind that He once delivered the mad man of the Gadarenes (Luke 8:26-39) who was reputed to be greatly tormented by demons and he was perpetually naked and violent and the only place that could contain him was a tomb. That was his sad story until he had an encounter with Jesus, the good Shepherd, and he was delivered. It was documented that the next time he was seen in public, he was sitting at the feet of Jesus Christ, clothed and in his right mind. This Jesus, is ready to repeat the same feat in this age and time as well (Mathew 11:28). Therefore, if you are being tormented by an evil spirit that pushes you to do what you shouldn’t do or that deters you from doing what is right, please approach Him today and He’ll deliver you. Amen.

4. He revives us

Jesus also revives us. For instance, He revived the daughter of Jairus when the need arose (Luke 8:40-56)! Jairus by the way was a ruler of the synagogue. Earlier on, he approached Jesus to revive his dying daughter and He agreed to do so. But along the line, a significant event i.e. the healing of a woman with the issue of blood of twelve years duration, cropped up and it hindered His movement. So, by the time He eventually got to her, she was already dead. But trust Jesus, the good Shepherd; not even death could stop Him from living up to expectation. Despite negative comments around, He nonetheless went to the girl and commanded her to arise and she did. That is, He revived her back to life! He is still in the business of reviving people back to life till today (John 11:25-26) and He can also revive your ailing body or business, ministry, education, career, marriage, etc. back to life if you wish (Luke 1:37). Please, approach Him today and you’ll not be disappointed by the grace of God. Amen

5. He guides us towards Heaven

The good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, in addition, guides us towards Heaven; a strikingly beautiful place (Revelation 21:9-21) and our final resting abode. However, we have to be born again first, to reach it (John 3:3). In other words, we must be ready to allow Jesus Christ to take charge of our lives as our personal Lord and Savior first. Friend, are you born again? If you are not then, I urge you to do something about that today. To begin with, confess your sin and forsake them immediately. Next, ask Jesus Christ, the good Shepherd, to forgive you and to take over your life and He is desirous of doing so (John 6:37, Revelation 3:20). It is after taking this simple but giant step, and after you have ended your journey on earth, that He will be on hand in Heaven, to usher you in royally (Matthew 25:21). But if you are already born again, I say a big BRAVO to you! May the good Lord empower you to remain steadfast to the end and may you not miss getting to Heaven for any reason in Jesus name. Amen.

Jesus is Lord!

Question and Answer Series (Part 2)

In February 2006, we started a Question and Answer Series using this forum and today, three questions will be considered in its part two (2).  It is my prayer that you’ll find the exercise helpful in Jesus name.  Amen.  The questions are as follows:

1.  Who is God?

God is the supernatural being who created all things (Revelation 4:11).  He is very powerful (Psalms 62:11) and very knowledgeable (Proverbs 2:6).  He sees all things (2 Chronicles 16:9a) and He can do all things (Luke 1:37).  He predates all things and He will definitely outlast them.  For this reason, He is called the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last (Revelation 22:13).

2.  Is he real?

Yes He is! The more you learn about Him, the more real He becomes to you and the more you will love and feel close to Him.

3.  How can we be sure that he is real?

Let us start with this simple illustration.  To many people, the American President is the most powerful person on earth and they believe that he is real even though a good number of them have never seen him nor have anything to do with him before.  Their belief is based on his influence which is felt everywhere in the world. Meanwhile, he is nothing compared to God. It is even on record that he acknowledges the supremacy and the reality of God freely whenever he has the opportunity to do so.  If he who is believed to be the most powerful person on earth can openly declare many times that God is both real and supreme, then people cannot be blamed for believing him.  Granted we may not have seen God before; that does not reduce from the fact that He is real and of course, His works are all over the place for everybody to decipher.

Furthermore, billions of people from all over the world are united in their conviction that God is real.  Can all of them be wrong, senseless, brainwashed or demented at the same time? I don’t think so! I believe God must be real to them otherwise they would not have found it so attractive to revere him.  Sir Alexander Fleming (1881-1955) was one of such people.  He was the renowned scientist who discovered Penicillin in 1928.  The antibiotic was at that time the most efficacious life saving medicine in the world and it was used to save millions of lives including that of Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965) – the Second World War period Prime Minister of Britain.  When asked what his (Sir Alexander Fleming’s) greatest achievement was, he said it was his discovery of the power of God through Jesus Christ.  Other great men who truly believed that God is real includes James Young Simpson (he discovered Anesthesia), Louis Pasteur (he first demonstrated that infections emanates from the activities of germs and viruses.  He also introduced sterilization methods) and Louis Braille (he invented the Braille machine so that the blind could read) amongst so many others.  Can we honestly say such declaration emanated from depraved minds?

Besides, several parts of the bible confirm that God is real.  Remember that the bible is not an ordinary book and many erudite scholars all over the world attested to the fact that it is the most authoritative book ever written.  And at present, billions of copies, in more than 2300 languages are in circulation to over 90% of the world’s population (i.e. to Christians and non-Christians alike) and it serves as a source of illumination to a huge number of them.  If it is an unreliable book, it would not have been so embraced. This great book highlighted many things about Jesus Christ; the greatest man who ever lived.  For example, it points out in John 3:16 that His father is God.  Meanwhile, Apostle Paul mentioned in Colossians 1:15 that Jesus is the image of God and Jesus himself confirms this to be true in John 14:7, 9.  Can a real person resemble an unreal father? No! Therefore, if Jesus Christ is real, then His father (God) must also be real.

Based on all above and on loads of other facts found worldwide, we can safely conclude that God is real.

Finally, let me state here that this God is very good (Psalms 86:5).  If you seek Him you will find Him (2 Chronicles 15:2a) and He does compensate those who seek Him diligently (Hebrews 11:6).  Now, if you are yet to know Him or you know Him but not intimately then do the right thing today; seek Him diligently and you will be adequately compensated.  A trial will convince you!

Jesus is Lord!

The Name of Jesus is Very Powerful

Today, let us consider Acts 3:1-11.  Peter and John were going to the temple at the time of prayer.  And at the same time, a man crippled from birth was being taken to the temple gate called beautiful where he normally begged.  When he saw Peter and John, he fixed his attention on them expecting something but he got more than he expected- i.e. healing in the name of Jesus.

The following lessons can be deduced from the account above.

1.  We should pray regularly to God.  Peter and John made it a habit to pray regularly to God.  Remember that prayer is an effective tool in the hands of Christians and with it; hopeless situations can be turned around for good.  Many notable Christians were/are successful in life because they made/make it a habit to pray to God regularly.  Ben Carson for example, is a successful African American Neurosurgeon and one of the most excellent in the field globally.  When asked, he attributed his success story to his mother’s positive influence on him, hard work and most importantly, the power of prayer.  If you want to make it to the top, then make it a habit to pray to God regularly (James 5:16b).

2.  We must be focussed.  The man was focussed.  He did not allow anything or anybody to distract his attention from Peter and John.  If you want any spectacular miracle from God, then you must be prepared to focus your attention on Him at all times.  Furthermore, you must not entertain any doubt in your mind otherwise; you will not receive anything substantial from Him (James 1:6-8).

3.  The name of Jesus is very powerful.  Peter and John had no silver or gold but they had the name of Jesus which is a very powerful tool to work with.  With boldness, Peter commanded the man to walk in the name of Jesus and he did.  You too can use His name to transform your life, to stay afloat, heal the sick, set the captives free, give hope to the hopeless etc (Mark 16:17-18).  Let me assure you here that you don’t really need any special faith before using this powerful name; all you need is boldness.  Therefore, go ahead and use right now!

4.  We must exercise our faith.  The man exercised his faith by leaping, standing and walking into the temple.  If you desire a miracle today, then be prepared to exercise your faith in God.  Remember that without faith, it is impossible to please him (Hebrew 11:6) and that faith without action is dead (James 2:17).  Use the name of Jesus today and exercise your faith by doing those things which you have not been able to do hitherto and you will experience a life changing outcome.

5.  We must always praise God.  The man went into the temple walking and praising God.  Likewise you too should make it a habit to praise Him.  You should also remember to thank Him always because it is His will that we should do so (1 Thessalonians 5:18).  Do you know that by praising God, you are indirectly asking Him to come closer to you (Psalms 22:3)? And do you know that in a situation like this; miracles cannot be far from you?

6.  We must keep the company of the children of God.  This is made very plain in Hebrews 10:25.  As individuals, our capacity is very limited but if we work in partnership with other children of God, we can move mountains.  For example, as individuals, we may not be able to defeat more than one of our enemies at a time.  But if only five of us can collaborate closely, then we should be able to chase at least a hundred of them to their early grave without stress.  Now imagine what a hundred of us can achieve if we team up! Definitely ten thousand of our enemies will be exterminated (Leviticus 26:8).  The man appreciated the importance of collaborating with the children of God hence; he did not forsake their gathering.  You too must emulate him.  Don’t allow Satan to isolate you from the body of Christ!

Friends put all these lessons into practice as from today and very soon; you will be on your way to big time success.

Jesus is Lord!

Question and Answer Series (Part 1)

Of late, I have been studying some questions often asked by people (including Christians) about God and the Christian faith.  And today, we shall commence a staggered Question and Answer series where some of them will be considered.  Let me therefore welcome you to part one (1) of the series.  May you be blessed as you read it in Jesus name.  Amen.

1.  Is God still relevant in today’s world?

Yes He is!  Now, let us look at it from this angle.  Jesus is the custodian of all authority in heaven and on earth (Mathew 28:18).  In John 15:5, He made it clear that we can do nothing without Him and this is true.  Hence, we can conclude that Jesus is relevant to us.  Meanwhile, this same Jesus made it abundantly clear in John 5:19 that He cannot do anything outside what He sees God doing.  That means God is relevant to Him.  Therefore, if Jesus is relevant to us, and God is relevant to Him, then God must be relevant to us in today’s world.

2.  Why can’t He banish hardship?

Since Satan is residing in this world, hardship cannot be banished.  As a matter of fact, it will surely come from time to time.  Though hardship is capable of making our lives very complicated, it also has the advantage of preparing us for victory over life’s numerous battles.  However, we have nothing to worry about since Jesus Christ is in full control (John 16:33).

Now let us consider the modus operandi of earthly Soldiers.  They regularly undergo intense training which may bring about a measure of hardship.  This is not to punish them, but to ensure that they are combat ready and safe.  As children of God we are also Soldiers but this time around, we are Soldiers of Christ and if we want to live long and in safety, then we must be prepared to undergo rigorous training; the resultant hardship not withstanding.  This is very important because our situation is more precarious than that of our earthly counterparts.  Whilst their enemies are visible, ours are not.  Ours are also very fierce and ruinous in nature (Ephesians 6:12).  However, we are not without adequate protection.  God has placed a huge cache of weapons at our disposal which we can utilize to protect ourselves and to destroy our enemies.  These weapons are utterly spiritual, extraordinarily precise and exceptionally potent (2 Corinthians 10:4-5) but we must be properly trained to use them effectively.  We can only attain the required level of effectiveness by undergoing a continuous and painstaking training program which may involve a variable degree of hardship.  The program involves sessions of fasting and prayers (Matthew 17:21).  It also involves studying the words of God and applying them appropriately.  Please note that the words of God constitutes a very important part of our spiritual arsenal (Hebrews 4:12) therefore, you must be conversant with them (Joshua 1:8).    And whenever you encounter any hardship, find an appropriate word of God and unleash it against the situation and you can be sure of victory.  In the end, you will emerge stronger, wiser, more reformed and better informed and in life hereafter, you will receive a crown of life (Revelation 2:10).

Friend, you can now see that God is still very relevant in today’s world.  It is also clear that it is not in our best interest for him to banish hardship on earth.  Let us therefore face it with vigour and with God being on our side, we will triumph in Jesus name.  Amen.

Jesus is Lord!

GO OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE!

In Luke Chapter 8, we can see that Jesus Christ and His disciples had a very busy day. So, at a point, He addressed them, saying: “let us GO over TO THE OTHER SIDE of the lake’’ (Luke 8: 22), ostensibly to catch some rest from the huge crowd that followed them everywhere.

Before I continue any further, I will like to spend a little time on the statement ‘GO OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE’, which is central to what Jesus Christ said in Luke 8: 22. This will enable us to understand the import of this piece better.

The statement can mean different things to different people at different times. But for the purpose of this write up, I will like us to pitch my tent with the school of thought that sees it as an instruction to shift position. That is, an instruction to move from a current position to a new one. The said position can be a street, a town, a county, a country, a school, a career, a relationship, a religion, a church, an allegiance, etc. And there are several reasons why people change their position now and again. For example, to improve their capabilities, status, earning power, or to seek better education, better life, fun, rest, security, and justice.

A lot of people also change their position (i.e. ‘GO OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE’), to align with God through Jesus Christ; having been with the Devil with dire consequences. Such people do often enjoy eye-popping benefits in the end (Luke 18:29). Some of the benefits include:

1. Peace

Peace, is one of the foremost benefits that comes with consenting to the advice, ‘Go Over to the Other Side’, where Jesus reigns.

In Luke 8:22-24, Jesus and His disciples launched out in a boat, with the aim of crossing over to the other side of the lake, apparently to rest. After a while, Jesus fell asleep, and a windstorm, which threatened their lives, came down forcefully on the lake. And the disciples became sore afraid, and they woke Jesus Christ up from His sleep lest they perished. Then, He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased. There was a great calm (peace) all around afterwards!

This same Jesus, who happens to be the Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6), is alive and willing to rebuke all the storms and troubles in your life today and then, give you peace instead (John 14:27). However, you have to ask Him in prayer to help you first of all, and you can be rest assured that He will not ignore you (John 6:37). Please do not waste time; make the move, right now, in Jesus name. Amen.

2. Provision

In John 2:1-11, a wise couple invited Jesus Christ to their wedding ceremony. Soon, they ran out of wine and shame was looming. But Jesus came to their rescue by providing them with choice wine, which was subsequently served, and the guests were stunned, but satisfied at the end of the day. In a nutshell, Jesus turned the couple’s shame, to fame that day.

Perhaps you lack certain life changing provisions at this moment in time, and it seems there is no relief in sight, and shame is looming ahead; please ‘Go Over to the Other Side’, where Jesus is in charge. He is well suited to provide all that you need to improve your life, family, health, business, finance, education, ministry, etc. (Philippians 4:19). Not only that, He will turn what is meant for your shame, into what will earn you outstanding fame in Jesus name. Amen.

3. Protection

In John 8:1-11, a woman was caught in the act of adultery and led to Jesus Christ for condemnation and execution by stoning to death. Though, their intention was to test Jesus, but His support, even if it was feeble, would have been enough to end her life. But trust Jesus, He did not condemn her, instead He offered her robust Protection via His principled stand. He challenged them saying: “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first’’ (John 8:7). Since none of them was clean, they quietly left the scene one after the other. Not only that, Jesus later sent her away with a soothing advice that she should sin no more (John 8:11).

This same Jesus is prepared to protect you (John 10:27-28), no matter how odious your past may be. So, ‘Go Over to the Other Side’ where He reigns today, and you will be happy you did, in Jesus name. Amen.

4. Promotion

In Matthew 4:18-22, Jesus Christ invited Peter and Andrew to join His ministry, and they agreed. And for this reason, they earned instant promotion from being ordinary fishermen, to being fishers of men; a position that made them highly visible, superbly famous, and greatly revered up till now. If not for their lavish promotion, I believe they would have spent the rest of their lives ordinarily, and end up unsung and unmourn like their contemporaries.

You too can acquire a great promotion from God (Psalm 75:6-7), which will astound the whole world, and make you relevant even after you might have departed the world to be with God. But you can only acquire it through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). That is why you have got to ‘Go Over to the Other Side’ where He is waiting for you. Please don’t let this huge opportunity elude you; grab it right now, in Jesus name. Amen.

5. Salvation

Salvation is the chief of all the benefits accruable from consenting to the advice, ‘Go Over to the Other Side’, where Jesus Christ is the boss.

Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10) was a chief tax collector hence, a big time sinner. One day, he learnt that Jesus would pass through Jericho, and he sought to see Him. However, the task of doing so was too much for him owing to his short stature. So, he helped himself by climbing up into a sycamore tree. As Jesus was passing by, He looked up, saw Zacchaeus, and commanded him to come down. Immediately, he complied, and Jesus received Him joyfully. It was at this point, that some people rose up against Zacchaeus, and accused Jesus Christ of socializing with a sinner. But trust Him, He ignored their accusations, stayed in Zacchaeus’ house, and gave him salvation, which is the passport to heaven, the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

You too need salvation i.e., you need to become born again, to attain the kingdom of God, and Jesus is ready to help you, if you ‘Go Over to the Other Side’, where He reigns.

So, how can I become born again, you may wish to ask at this point in time? Well, very simple! Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. If you do these, then it is believe you have been saved (Romans 10:9), and that you are born again. It is after you might have settled all issues concerning your salvation, that you can become a member of the kingdom of God, and reap exceptional benefits like Peace, Protection, Provision, Promotion, and Salvation among others. May you never lose out on any of them, and may your joy be full now and forever, in Jesus name. Amen.

Let’s Take Stock

Looking through year 2005, it is evident that our world experienced many earth shaking events which led to the loss of several thousands of lives.  These events also cost more people their past, present and future.  We have every reason to be happy that we are alive today but we should remember that it is by God’s special mercies that we were not consumed (Lamentations 3:22).  As we give thanks to God Almighty during this special season, and as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ (we ought to do this in a very big way), let us remember those who started the year with us but are no longer alive.  Especially, let us remember to pray for and reach out to their parents, spouses, children, relatives and other people they left behind.  Let us remember the underprivileged amongst us too.  They obviously need us more than ever before.

Furthermore, let us utilize this unique period to prepare for year 2006.  This time last year, I wrote and I quote ”Let it not be said of you that you prepared to fail because you failed to prepare”.  This statement is still as golden as it was then therefore; let us skew all our resources towards preparing for success in year 2006.  Let us set aside quality time to fast, pray and to commit everything about us into God’s able hands.  If we do this, he will take absolute control of our lives (Proverbs 3:6).

Now this is very important!  Let us create time to appraise our current position in the Lord.  In 1 Corinthians 10:12, Apostle Paul said ”let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall”.  Since standing is just a step from falling, we shouldn’t assume that all is well with us without first checking our lives thoroughly. Let’s take stock and let’s be mindful of the need to be vigilant.  If we want to excel in 2006, then it will be helpful to consider the following tips.  We should:

1.  Involve Jesus Christ in all our activities.  We should also make Him our personal Lord and Saviour.  If you have done this before now-brilliant otherwise, do so at this instant because tomorrow may be too late.  From John 14:6, it is clear that Jesus is the only way that worth following and the only truth that can stand us out.  He is also the only person that is capable of putting life back into those areas of our lives that may have been functioning sub optimally hitherto.

2.  Allow the Holy Spirit to be active in our lives.  Remember that he is in charge in the current dispensation and he has an extraordinary capacity to teach us all things and to bring them to our remembrance (John 14:26).  Let us therefore align with him so that he can put us on the path of success.

3.  Not be far away from the Holy Bible.  This amazing book has been programmed to give us incredible success in life (Joshua 1:8) and it is one of the major ways by which God will reach out to us in year 2006.

4.  Make it a point of duty to pray without ceasing (1Thessalonians 5:17).  This is an important chore and it is very close to God’s heart.  It is also through it that we can convey our heart felt concerns to him.  If you want a first-rate report in 2006, then pray to God!

5.  Make sure that we give thanks to God always-it is his will that we should do this (1Thessalonians 5:18).  Whilst thanking him, we should not forget to praise him too.  And the moment we start doing these, he will shift his base to our side (Psalms 22:3) then signs and wonders will take place.

Friend, if you want to crack year 2006 without being cracked then, get cracking with the tips above.  May the good Lord help you as you labour to attain your best in him and may his joy be your strength throughout this season and beyond in Jesus name.  Amen.

Finally, let me use this opportunity to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS in advance.  God bless you real good.

Jesus is Lord!
